One of the most boring, tedious tasks I’ve seen adult performers complain about is watermarking pics to prevent others stealing their pics. To me, this sounded like an interesting problem and an excellent excuse to try my hand at programming. I’d started to use BAT scripts at work, so I wanted to see if I could solve this problem using BAT script programming. I believe I’ve succeeded!

This script will take photos you save to your DropBox, either from your desktop or via mobile pics, and batch watermark them, place them in a separate folder, then save the original pic in an Archive folder. If you have the script scheduled to run every few minutes, you can take a pic on your phone, save it to your DropBox, then have a watermarked photo available in your DropBox minutes later!

To get this to run correctly, you’ll need to install the following programs:

Install these programs, setup your Dropbox account, and proceed.

Note: After installing DropBox, go to c:\program files\ImageMagick-6.7.9-Q16 and right click on the file called “composite”, then select “Properties”. Go to the “Compatibility” tab and enable compatibility with Windows XP.

Ok, we’re ready to set up our script. Follow these steps to set it up:

Step 1) Go to your DropBox folder. It should be located somewhere like c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox  In this folder, create the following sub directories by clicking on “New Folder”:

“temp”, “Archive”, “Final”, “CameraUploads” and “data”

Now you should have 4 new folders named c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\temp c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\Archive c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\Final and c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\data

Step 2) Go to c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\data and drop your watermark there. The watermark should be named water.jpg

Step 3) Next, open up Notepad++. First, click the “Language” button at the top of the window, and select “BATCH”. Next, Copy and paste the following code:

@ echo off
set /a counter=%counter%+1
IF EXIST C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\CameraUploads\*.jpg REN C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\CameraUploads\*.jpg scratch%counter%.jpg
IF NOT EXIST C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\CameraUploads\*.jpg EXIT
IF EXIST C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\CameraUploads\scratch%counter%.jpg MOVE C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\CameraUploads\scratch%counter%.jpg C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\temp
composite -gravity SouthEast C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\data\water.jpg scratch%counter%.jpg Final%counter%.jpg
IF EXIST Final%counter%.jpg MOVE C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\temp\Final%counter%.jpg C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\Final
for /f "tokens=1-5 delims=:" %%d in ("%time%") do rename "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\Final\Final%counter%.jpg" %%d-%%e-%counter%-final.jpg
IF EXIST scratch%counter%.jpg MOVE C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\temp\scratch%counter%.jpg C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\Archive
for /f "tokens=1-5 delims=:" %%d in ("%time%") do rename "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\Archive\scratch%counter%.jpg" %%d-%%e-%counter%-original.jpg
goto start

Step 4) Press Ctrl+H to bring up the Search and Replace window. Enter YOURUSERNAME as the “Find What” variable, and enter your Dropbox username as the Replace With variable. Then click “Replace All”

Step 5) Next, save the file using “Save As”, and put the BAT file in c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Dropbox\temp

Step 6) Drop a few jpgs into \CameraUploads and try running the BAT file. To run the file, simply double click on it. It should put a watermark on all the pictures and put them into the \Final folder, then put the original images into \Archive.

Step 7) The last step, which will make the process truly “Automagic”, is to set the BAT script to run regularly using the Task Scheduler. For this, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Task Scheduler. From there, you can set the BAT script to run every 5 min, 10 min, etc.

That’s it! You should be all done. If you want to change anything with the image as it’s being processed, check out the command line options available at ImageMagick

Let me start off with a statement- I’m generally not a big fan of SEO, marketing, advertising, etc. I’m a big believer in the idea that if you have quality content and a reliable social network, you should be able to build traffic to your site. It would seem Google agrees:

While SEOs can provide clients with valuable services, some unethical SEOs have given the industry a black eye through their overly aggressive marketing efforts and their attempts to manipulate search engine results in unfair ways. Practices that violate our guidelines may result in a negative adjustment of your site’s presence in Google, or even the removal of your site from our index.

That said, you’ve got to start somewhere!

There’s already a bunch of places to find info on adult promotions. Here are a few I’ve come across:

Blogging is another excellent way to get your name out there. If you don’t have a blog, start one! I’m a fan of WordPress. There’s a lot of ways to build up traffic for your blog.

When it comes to building traffic to your blog/site, there’s a number of factors to consider. I’m no expert, but I’ll try to cover a few methods such as link exchanges, back links, and directories.

Link Exchanges:

Link exchanging is the process of putting a link to another blog on your site, and vice versa. There are many services that offer to do this for a price, but again I believe in quality over quantity in this area as well. Find a few quality blogs, and contact them to see if they’d be interested in putting a link to your blog if you link to theirs. Search engines like this to be as organic as possible, so don’t submit your site to too many free directories. This might actually decrease your page rank, as your site could be flagged as spam or having fake visitors. Here are a few Adult Directories you may want to try, though I’m not certain how reputable they are… it’s a start, though:

Porn Blog Catalog

Cam Model Directory

Back Links:

Back Links are links to your blog/site on other sites. There are a bunch of ways to accomplish this. Here are a few good ones:

Have a Fetlife profile? You should already link to your site in your profile. It doesn’t stop there, though. Join groups relevant to your blog content, and either comment or create threads that link to your content. There is a thin line between sharing relevant content and spamming, so tread lightly. Here’s an example of a thread I started that got me hundreds of unique visitors:

Commenting on other people’s blogs is an easy way to get links back to your site. When commenting, you are usually able to enter a link to your own site. Platforms like WordPress and Blogger do this automatically if you’re signed in. Each time you comment on a blog, it creates a nice, fresh, organic link to our site. Just be careful- make sure you don’t spam other blogs! Your comments should be authentic, relevant, and of a decent length. No “thanks great post!” or “like this post” comments, please! A few tools you might want to set up are Gravatar, Disqus, and Blogger.

Kinda Sketchy Pro Tip: Sites with a .edu domain look better on search engine page rankings. Try commenting on some .edu sites! (you may need to find an unmoderated, defunct blog on a university site.)

Relevant Content:

Another excellent way to get folks to link to your content is… to post good content! I like posts that give a unique and comprehensive take on specific issues. One of the great aspects of blogging is the ability to link to other posts instead of covering everything in one place. By creating topic specific posts, you can create a useful resource for other blogs to link to. Everyone wins!

So, those are some thoughts on SEO. Take it with a grain of salt- I’m not a professional, and I’m not a big fan of online marketing in general… I think it tends to attract a lot of sketchy folks interested in the short sell, who’ll do anything for a buck. This is dangerous, because there’s a ton of personal information out there on the web for those who are willing to mine it and exploit it. Anyways- for professional advice, contact a professional! Here’s two folks who know a thing or two: Domino Damoiselle and Isobel Wren (Lol… no relation! 😀 ) Or, go hang out on forums like Stripperweb . Hopefully this intro post will be useful to a few people!

So this morning, I saw a tweet lamenting the removal of recurring tweets from the functionality of 3rd party applications. I’ve never had recurring tweets before, but it seems like a useful function for those who want to have a message broadcasting regularly. So, I thought about it for a bit, and here’s what I’ve come up with.

1) Go to and install this gmail plugin for Firefox or Chrome.

2) Go to to sign up for their free service.

3) Connect your ifttt account to your Twitter account by going to Channels and giving permission to access your account.

4) Next, go to this link to activate the recipe for posting to Twitter via email. It will create a trigger for emails to post new tweets.

5) All you need to do now is email post tweets to your account. Copy the email into a new message and enter the text you would like to appear in your recurring tweet. (Or test. It’s a good idea to test it out first)

6) Finally, instead of hitting “Send”, hit the new button to the left which should say “Send Later”. At the bottom of the options should be “Schedule Recurring Messages”. Click it and set your schedule for the tweets.

That should be it! This is the result of trial and error, and I believe it’s an easy way to control automated, recurring tweets that bypass Twitter’s API restrictions.

Don't need to be cool to be kind.
